I’m going to start off by saying, that this wedding naturally made me feel happy! Nothing expresses love and happiness more than colour – it grabs your attention, warms your heart and fills the room with life!
Now, I am not quite sure if it’s the simplicity of the decor, the pop of colour throughout the room or the specific details that I love the most, but one thing is for sure – this urban venue (La Cenne) was the perfect setting for Thea and Sean’s playful & intimate wedding, and Lisa Renault Photographie captured it beautifully.
Thea & Sean’s Whimsical Wedding
Their inspirations were drawn from movies, books, theatre, art, dance and music. With a vision in mind and utilizing the strengths and abilities of friends and professionals, Thea and Sean set their day in motion.
They considered all of the elements that would not only create a meaningful ceremony but make for a great party as well. They kept it personal… truly reflecting who they are and placing emphasis where it truly mattered – on their core values.
I simply adored all of the details – it just added to the moment making it truly unique and memorable for all involved.
They really thought of it all, including a surprise for their guests when a drummer and breakdancers formed from the wedding party and took stage while the couple signed their wedding documents.
In Thea’s Words
“We wanted it to represent our life as it is, reflecting who we are and what we believe in. We achieved this on our beautiful wedding day.”
Items Made With Love for the Wedding
Steal This Idea
Use local vendors! They have just as much to offer and sometimes can be even more flexible than traditional vendors. Don’t be afraid to try something new and different.
Why not try making your own floral arrangements? You might just be surprised with how pretty they turn out!
Thea’s Advice for Future Brides and Grooms
Use the venue as your stepping stone – find this first and build from there. Stay organized by using spreadsheets and templates and use the various talents of family and friends! It’s easy to spend more than you intended, so budget carefully & don’t get carried away with the details that people won’t remember.
Congratulations to you both! Not only did you stay true to yourselves and share your dedication/love to support local businesses, you have also inspired others to do the same by sharing how the simplest of things can make the world of difference!
