I met L, during her short stay in Montreal, when were students. I always remember her for her good humor and her sense of style, already trending at the time! I was therefore not surprised to find with delight, her wedding photos captured by the talented David One.
The warm personality of the couple radiates through each photo and the many details that they have perfected for their big day, creates such a romantic, unique and beautiful wedding, that I am honoured to feature here today!
The Romantic Wedding of L+S
L and S met at their workplace, but it was at the corner of Montorgueil street in Paris, while sipping mango mojitos (yum!) that they realized that they have so much in common.
The rest of their love story naturally unravels and after numerous trips to Iguazu Falls, at the Cape of Good Hope, by way of the Dead Sea, to Andalusia, Chicago, Berlin, and even London – it was actually in Florence that S asked for L’s hand in marriage.
Born in Bordeaux, L wanted to get married in the beautiful region of Aquitaine. The bride and groom got ready in a charming castle near their reception hall, along with their loved ones. These first moments of joy, laughter, and intimate moments shared together, quickly confirmed to everyone that their big day would be the pinnacle of all of the wedding planning that would abruptly end that day!
After a solemn but emotional civil ceremony, it is at the Château Lafitte–Laguens that the newlyweds and their guests continued their wedding day, mixing a beautiful and unique combination of religious and secular elements – adding just the right touch. Gospel songs, psalms played by guitar, secular readings and testimonies given by their close relatives, songs sung acapella and the exchange of vows… I can easily imagine the love, warmth and beauty of their ceremony!
“It was particularly moving to speak in front of an audience so close and dear to us & I loved sharing such deep and intimate feelings…”
These love birds chose Music as the theme for their wedding. For side colours, they selected two sparkling colours and very much in mode for a wedding: a mint green & peach. What a romantic mix!
